Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong, Jaiaw Langsning will organize a cleaning drive in the locality on December 17 from 7 am onwards.
Dorbar Shnong Qualapatty in collaboration with Qualapatty Sports Social and Cultural Club will organize a cleaning drive on December 17 from 8 am.
Garment distribution
Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math,through its Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama at Cherrapunjee (Sohra) organised an adult garment distribution programme, on December 9 for the needy adults of the villages under Khadar-shnong-Laitkroh Block, East Khasi Hills.  The distributed garments included sweaters, shirts, jackets, tops (for females) and trousers for adults. Garments worth Rs.23,38,560 were distributed among 542 residents.

The KSU South West Khasi Hills District unit will conduct panel discussion on ‘The Sixth Schedule: Weapon of the indigenous people’ on December 17 at Maharam Government Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat. Successful students will be felicitated on the same day.
