Cleaning drive
The Dorbar Shnong, Jaiaw Langsning will organize a cleaning drive in the locality on December 17 from 7 am onwards.
Dorbar Shnong Qualapatty in collaboration with Qualapatty Sports Social and Cultural Club will organize a cleaning drive on December 17 from 8 am.
Garment distribution
Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math,through its Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama at Cherrapunjee (Sohra) organised an adult garment distribution programme, on December 9 for the needy adults of the villages under Khadar-shnong-Laitkroh Block, East Khasi Hills.  The distributed garments included sweaters, shirts, jackets, tops (for females) and trousers for adults. Garments worth Rs.23,38,560 were distributed among 542 residents.

Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi celebration Committee Barapathar has expressed gratitude to all participants, the DC of East Khasi Hills, the SP, STP and others for their co-operation during the peaceful procession on the occasion of Eid-Milad-Un-Nabi (Birth Anniversary of Prophet Mohammad).
Panel discussion
The KSU South West Khasi Hills District unit will conduct panel discussion on ‘The Sixth Schedule: Weapon of the indigenous people’ on December 17 at Maharam Government Higher Secondary School, Mawkyrwat. Successful students will be felicitated on the same day.
