3 held for extortion

SHILLONG:  Three persons held for extorting money from vehicle in West Garo Hills (WGH).
The WGH police said that on December 16 around 12.30 AM, acting on inputs that some miscreants were collecting money from vehicles at NH-51 Anogre area, police from Jengjal outpost rushed to the spot and detected one Maruti-800 car (AS-01-AJ-4320) with three occupants Polbinath B Marak (32),  Rakhan Sangma (30) and Tengrik R Marak (26).
Rs. 1,800 cash and mobile phones and one torch light recovered from their possession
