Accidents Across the State

One killed
One person died when a coal laden truck turned turtle on top of one Chevrolet car and a scooty at Ryndangbriew NH-40 near Mawiongrim, Shillong.
In the incident two persons Satyam Prasad (17) and Gyanendra Singh (60) sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital Shillong where injured Satyam Prasad succumbed to his injuries.
After the incident, the truck driver fled away.
On December 19 around 8.15 pm, one Maruti-800 car (ML-04C-1279) driven by Iarmani Lamare (29) collided with one vehicle (ML-05M-3136) driven by one B. Tariang at Lad Smit (EKH). As a result, one occupant of Maruti-800 car sustained injuries.
In another incident, on December 18 around 4.30 pm, one four wheeler (ML-04C-3375) driven by one Eveningstar Papang (21) knocked down one pedestrian Baphilaai Wankhar (7) and also dashed against one scooty (A/F) ridden by Teiborskhem Shadap (22) at Lamlyer under Madanrting Police station.
As a result, the pedestrian, rider and one lady pillion rider of the scooty sustained injuries and were removed to NEIGRIHMS for treatment.
On December 18 around 7 pm, one two wheeler (ML-05M-6055) ridden by Rahul Baruah (24) dashed against one Maruti Gypsy (ML-02-0082) driven by DC/955 Balendro Sangma at 5th Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, rider and one pillion rider sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital  Shillong for treatment.
In another incident On December  17 around 7 pm, one unknown vehicle knocked down one minor girl  Miss Darikor Kharbithai (15) at Smit (EKH). Victim sustained injuries and was removed to Woodland Hospital, Shillong for treatment.
