NONGPOH: Members of FKJGP’s eight circles and two units in Ri Bhoi district have decided to quit the organisation over the central leadership’s decision to dissolve the previous body of the North Khasi Hills district unit.
The decision was taken in a meeting of FKJGP leaders and current members in Umsning on Tuesday.
Former FKJGP presidents P.B Makdoh (Nongpoh) and Diamos Syiem (Umsning) said the decision was taken after central leaders dissolved the previous body of FKJGP North Khasi Hills Unit without consulting them.
“This reflects their dictatorial style of functioning in the organization,” they said.
However, the dissident members said they had nothing personal against the central leaders and the new district body and that they would continue working for the welfare and benefit of the society.
The circle leaders and members are from Nongpoh, Umsning, Raid Madan Kyrdem, Umbir, Upper Khri, Mawrong, Syngku and Kyrdem Kulai and Mawrong and Syngku units.
