SHILLONG: The KHNAM Shillong West Constituency Committee has expressed its surprise over the news report stating that its party workers have joined the UDP.
Asserting that the alleged report has misled people, Andrewnel War, president of KHNAM Shillong West, said, “There were reports that KHNAM leaders Boldwill Nikhla, disciplinary president, and Franky Nikhla, educational secretary, joined UDP. The KHNAM Shillong West has no such post of disciplinary president and education secretary as claimed by the UDP.”
He claimed that UDP member Paul Lyngdoh should have confirmed whether these defectors were members of KHNAM that claimed this was part of the usual “politrick|” played before the beginning of any election. The KHNAM has not fared well in the recently concluded by-poll to the KHADC.
