SHILLONG: The KHNAM on Thursday said that all those involved in preventing A. G. West Kharkongor from becoming the NEEPCO chief should be prosecuted for offences punishable under various sections of penal code.
In response to news report on attempts made by NEEPCO officials to prevent Kharkongor from becoming the NEEPCO chief, KHNAM chief Adlebert Nongrum said on Thursday that the matter is serious one and the acts of those involved are highly irregular.
“The report had also elaborated on the involvement of a political figure based on the report of the former vigilance officer, and all those involved should be prosecuted so that such attempts are not made again in the future,” Nongrum said.
