SHILLONG: One person succumbed to his injuries sustained at a stone quarry at Patharkuchi in Ri Bhoi.
Police said that the incident happened on December 22 around 9.30 am, when one Md. Sukour (50) sustained injuries when he slipped and fell while he was working in a stone quarry at Patharkuchi under Khanapara Police station.
Later, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.
Necessary formalities were observed and the cadaver was sent to Civil Hospital Nongpoh for postmortem examination.
