This was followed by a short prayer recited by Sister Superior, in charge of Mercy Old Age Home.
A cake was cut on the occasion by the eldest person at the Home. The children greeted all the elderly people and interacted with them sharing love and care with them.
Around 200 people, including children from Anjali, Mawlynrei and Rangmen villages, participated in this special occasion.
Also, a programme was held at Mawlong and Rangmen Centre and the children there presented carols.
