The In-charge Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District has informed that all district offices, magisterial courts and educational institutions in the district will remain closed on January 11 on account of Nul Ding Kut festival (Festival of Renewal of Life), at Saipung Village.
MeECL launch
The MeECL will launch Megha Power Brand on January 12 at MeECL Head Quarter, Lum Jingshai Complex, at 11:00 am. Chief Minister Mukul Sangma will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Office bearers
The Mawthoh Sports Club in its general executive committee meeting held at Madanrting on January 7 electd new office bearers. While H S Mawthoh is the chief adviser, Bristar Mawthoh has been named the president and Clement Mawthoh the general secretary. The Mawthoh clan also condemned the recent rape of a 17-year-old girl at Mawryngkneng.
