Need to protect Swamiji’s residence

SHILLONG: The need to preserve the site where Swami Vivekananda had stayed for 20 days in 1901 was felt a day before the saint’s 155th birth anniversary on Thursday. Malabika Bisharod, a resident of Rilbong, said the historic place was neglected for over a century and “it is high time the site (in Laban) is protected as a heritage place”.
