SHILLONG: A Jaintia movie, Ina Morato directed by one Jimmy Raul Kharmuti will be released in the last week of February or the first week of March.Addressing reporters on Friday, Kharmuti said that the movie depicted the plight of a poor man who loved a girl from a well off family. However, the girl was asked to leave him which made him sad. “I wanted to put across the views regarding the sanctity of marriage which is long lost in this present age. In today’s generation there is rampant breakdown of families, teenage pregnancies, and single mothers,” he said. The director also said that the movie was shot in various locations at picturesque Jaintia Hills which will serve to promote the region from a tourism perspective as well. When asked about the shortcomings of film making in the region, Kharmuti said, “There are no facilities available for film makers here.”
