SHILLONG: Four children from SOS village, Andrew Lyngdoh, Ibadondor Rajee, Lucy Lyngdoh and Kyntiakmon Jyrwa received President Awards of Bharat Scout and Guides recently
Since only Andrew and Ibadondor went to Delhi to receive the award personally by President Pranab Mukherjee end of last year , the other two received the award on Saturday in a function organised in the campus of SOS Children’s Village at Umiam, Ri-bhoi.
The state secretary of the Bharat Scout and Guide, A. Swer was the chief guest on the occasion. She gave away the certificates and batches to awardees.
She also felicitated Sumarlang Shylla and Ibadondor Rajee who participated in an international meeting of Guides at Pune in the last week of December last.
