SHILLONG: The Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council’s delay in declaring the posts of LDA, District Council Lower Primary School, sectional assistance and recorders has irked The Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF).
The MPUF, in a statement, questioned the JHADC as to why the member secretary of the District Council selection board took over six months to declare the results of LDA. The pressure body alleged that there may have been backdoor appointments and added that they will follow up a case by challenging the papers of the candidates who have passed the written examination.
They have also threatened to file an RTI to find the truth behind the appointments and may even approach the courts.
