Assault
On Jan. 20 around 7 am, Seibor Papang (50 yrs) assaulted his wife at Marten, Mawlai, Shillong. As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at NEIGRIHMS.

Girin Marak lodged a complaint that on Dec. 10, 2016, one Palmiston Sangma assaulted his pregnant wife at Upper Jorbil village under Khanapara PS (RB). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was admitted at GMC, Guwahati and later she had to undergo abortion.

Accident
On Jan. 19 around 3.45 pm, one truck (AS-01CC-1611) driven by Liboios Biam fatally knocked down one unidentified pedestrian at Ladrymbai (EJH).

On Jan. 19 around 1 pm, one truck (AS-01SP-2825) fatally knocked down one Suspion Nongtdu (19 yrs) at Byndihati, NH-44 (EJH). After the incident, the truck fled away and later capsized at Mynkre village, NH-44, however, the trucker managed to flee.

On Jan. 11, one unknown vehicle knocked down one Umesh Rai at Ladrymbai (EJH). As a result, the victim sustained injuries and was shifted to NEIGRIHMS, where he succumbed (Jan. 17) to his injuries.

Threat
Shemphang Dkhar of Iongkaluh village (EJH) lodged a complaint that on Jan. 13 around 2.19 pm, he received one anonymous phone call, wherein the caller threatened to burn down his house located at 7th Mile.

Explosives recovered
On Jan. 18, Police recovered thirty-two gelatin sticks and thirty-three detonators from Wahrymbai area under Umpleng AD Camp (EJH).

NGT violation
On Jan. 19, during a raid in Moopala, 7 Kilo area (EJH), Police arrested four persons, viz., (1) Gopal Bista, (2) Kesar Lama, (3) Salindra Baishnab and Gobinda, while they were extracting coal in the area.
