TURA: The Bengalee Association in Tura has strongly condemned the attack on several Bengali families residing near Garobadha LP School allegedly by Assam based miscreants resulting in severe injuries to five of the victims.
The families were attacked on the night of January 24 by alleged Assam based dacoit gang and the victims have since been taken to Guwahati for treatment.
The attack on one of the victims was so severe that he continues to remain in ICU till today.
Interestingly, the attack took place barely 200 metres away from the Garobadha Police Outpost.
Meanwhile, the association while expressing grave concern as well as dismay over the incident has urged concerned authorities to ensure the safety of those residing in the area and prevent such acts so that they do not lead to demographic tension in the future.
