MPUF seeks permission for meeting over DC transfer

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya People United Front (MPUF) has asked for permission from the DC of West Jaintia Hills, Arunkumar Khembhavi to convene the general meeting over his transfer.
The MPUF has criticised the police high-handedness and the district administration on January 25.
The organisation stated that they have asked for permission since January 16 but it was pending and till date the District Administration has not informed the organisation over the rejection to hold a meeting.
However, the MPUF has stated that it is adamant and will continue its agitation.
