One held for stealing car tape

SHILLONG: A person was caught red handed while he had successfully stolen a car tape from a car parked at Police Bazar by the special team of the Sadar police station on Sunday.
The police informed that there has been a series of thefts of car tapes and tyres in and around Police Bazar resulting in deployment of plain clothes people who finally managed to nab the person behind identified as Deepak Gurung on Sunday.
The modus operandi was that he moved around the town in the maruti car bearing registration number ML10.A 3465 and committed the crime and avoided places for committing crime where there are CCTVs. His vehicle has also been seized
