SHILLONG: A meeting of the State Development Reforms Commission (SDRC) was held on February 7. Sengman R. Marak, ex-MLA and Co-Chairman, SDRC presided over the meeting. The Commission, after deliberation, decided on parameters to be furnished by each department during the review meeting. The next meeting will be held on February 20.
Contraband seized
SHILLONG: Police on Tuesday evening arrested four persons from the city and recovered suspected heroin from two of them.
Police arrested Monu Singh, Hira Singh, Amar Thapa and Kishan Gurung from Thangkhiew petrol pump near Bimola Point and recovered 0.12 grams of suspected heroin from the possession of Monu Singh and Hira Singh.
