AMPATI/TURA: A natural lake with serene surroundings near Garobadha which, the legend says, was the dwelling place of two holy men, will soon become a tourist spot with the State Government undertaking a project to give it a facelift.
Chief Secretary K.S Kropha, along with principle secretary for planning and programme implementation, R.M Mishra, inspected the development project site of Chenga-Benga Lake, 30 km from Tura town, on Friday to review the ongoing work on Friday.
The delegation, led by South West Garo Hills DC Cyril Diengdoh, surveyed the lake area and visited the temple located nearby.
