Govt acquires land for Assembly

SHILLONG: The State government has acquired land at Mawdiangdiang for construction of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.
A source told reporters that land has been handed over to the Assembly and the Speaker, who is the Chairman of the High Power Committee, has invited consultancy for the project.
It is learnt that the work for the project will commence once the detailed estimate is finalised.
