19-year-old raped repeatedly

SHILLONG: A 19-year-old girl was repeatedly raped since June 2014 in East Khasi Hills by one John Tiewmon. The girl lodged a complaint that Tiewmon raped her in his residence at Mawiong and Umsaw, Mawjynrong and that his wife had also confined her in their  residence and threatened her with dire consequences. The victim got pregnant in the year 2016 and was subject to torture and threats by the accused and his wife. When contacted, police said that the accused has not been arrested since the police are yet to get into all the details of the case.
