Govt to challenge Champion’s bail

SHILLONG: The State Government has decided to challenge the bail granted to GNLA chairman Champion Sangma by the lower court.
It was on February 21 that the court granted bail to Champion with a condition that he would pay Rs 1 lakh as bond amount and that he would not leave East Khasi Hills district.
An official source said on Monday that the bail will be challenged in the High Court by the government.
