Poses counter queries on NC, other issues
SHILLONG: At the receiving end for not coming clear on the nine-point posed by the UDP, KHADC CEM PN Syiem on Thursday took the attack to the former by seeking replies from the party on various matters.
Syiem shot off a letter to UDP leader Teinwell Dkhar asking for clarifications from the party on the no-confidence motion moved by one of its members during the recently-concluded budget session of the Council.
Syiem also sought clarification on news reports that the UDP was opposing the People’s Democratic Forum (PDF) and the dissatisfaction of the regional party with the answers given by him.
“As a parliamentary party (PP) leader of the PDF, I have sought clarifications from the UDP through its PP leader, Teinwell Dkhar,” Syiem said while asking for the replies at the earliest.
The UDP, which is a part of the PDF coalition in the KHADC, had sought replies from Syiem through its nine-point query over the anomalies prevailing in the council.
According to Syiem, the 9-point query has been discussed at the PDF executive committee meeting and it is the duty of the UDP MDCs to relay the discussions to the party high command.
