Faculty devp programme at NEHU Tura

SHILLONG: The Department of Management at NEHU-Tura organised a Faculty Development Programme to train teachers in inculcating entrepreneurial values into students and counselling them for career.
The programme, jointly organised by the placement and counselling cell and the department at NEHU, started on February 22 and concluded on Saturday.
Abhigyan Bhattacharjee, in charge of the placement and counselling cell and coordinator of the programme, said participants were from science and engineering  background from the university, its affiliated institutions and other institutes in Tura.
Bhattacharjee said the programme was sponsored by the National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board of the Centre’s Department of Science and Technology and was conducted by Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, North Eastern Regional Office in Guwahati.  K. Ahmed, advisor and project chief of i-STED at EDII, was the chief guest of the valedictory function. M.S Bisht, head of Science and Education Centre at NEHU-Shillong was the guest of honour.
