Cabinet nod to UPSC exam model for MPSC

SHILLONG: The State Cabinet has decided to adopt the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) “pattern of examination” in the job recruitment process of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC).
Speaking to media persons after the Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said the UPSC syllabus will be included in MPSC and necessary direction has been given in this regard.
Sangma said that the idea is to provide better exposure to job aspirants and acclimatise them with the UPSC syllabus and also prepare them to compete in such examinations.
Meghalaya Transport Service Rules approved
The cabinet has also approved the Meghalaya Transport Service Rules to regulate the service condition of the employees beside appointments to the various posts in the department.
The Cabinet also approved the appointment of a retired Financial Adviser JM Kyndiah as an internal asset auditor in the Transport department besides bringing legal changes in the e-Permit forms of the ERTS department.
