Man attempted to rape a minor
Sordar of Laitkseh village in West Khasi Hills has lodged a complaint against Jopstarwell Majaw alleging that the latter attempted to rape a minor on March 2 around 5.30 pm.
The incident happened when Majaw offered money to a 13-year-old girl and later tried to rape her in his house.
12-yr-old sexually assaulted
SHILLONG: A minor girl was sexually assaulted in a village in South Garo Hills. A complaint was lodged on March 3 at Jadi OP that Nikil D Shira of Ronggisim Mangsang of East Garo Hills sexually assaulted one twelve year old girl and absconded. The victim was admitted at CH Williamnagar for treatment.
Rs 60000 stolen from a godown
Dilip Kumar Agarwal lodged a complaint that valuable documents from Godown No. 17 at MECOFED were also stolen. The incident happened on the intervening night of March 5 and March 6, in which, unknown miscreants stole one wardrobe containing cash around Rs 60000 at MECOFED, Mawiong.
FIR
Skhemborlang Langstieh lodged a complaint that in September last, a man identified as Pyndaplang Nongrum took his Nissan Terrano vehicle with a promise to return the same in few days.
However, till date, Nongrum did not return the vehicle and the complainant had to pay the EMI, thereby incurring loss. It is suspected that the vehicle has been disposed to some person in Nagaland. Police have arrested the accused.
Animal cruelty
In a case of animal cruelty, two horses on St. Peters’ College Campus are allegedly being abused.
Neha Millian Sawkmie in her FIR said that on February 24, she witnessed animal abuse and cruelty meted out to two horses being kept in the College Campus. The horses belong to Peter Thorose.
Body unclaimed
One unclaimed male body (25-30 years), height 4 feet, complexion swarthy is lying unclaimed since the day of its recovery on February 26. The person died due to accident at Mookhep NH-44 under Khliehriat Police station.
