Man demands money at gun point

SHILLONG: A woman lodged a complaint against Lenush A Sangma alleging that he had demanded money from her at gun point in Tura, West Garo Hills. On March 3 and 4, Sangma allegedly demanded Rs 20000 from the complainee and extorted Rs 2000 from the locals.The miscreant also threatened them with dire consequences if the money was not paid within six days. Meanwhile, police has registered a case of extortion.
