WKH accident toll at 20

NONGSTOIN: One more injured person died at NEIGRIHMS on Saturday taking the toll in the February 26 truck accident in West Khasi Hills to 20.
West Khasi Hills DC Arunkumar Kembhavi confirmed the death. The person was identified as Shanborlang Lyngkhoi (30) of Mawbyrkong village.
Ten villagers from Mawbyrkong died in the accident.
On February 26, as many as 17 people were killed and 61 injured when a speeding truck, heading for Nonglang Synod, rammed into a concrete barricade on National Highway 44(E).
Later, two more admitted in NEIGRIHMS succumbed to injuries.
Sources told The Shillong Times that four others at NEIGRIHMS are in critical condition and fighting for their life.
