LED bulbs, tube lights under UJALA

SHILLONG: The Inspectorate of Electricity which is the State Designated Agency on Energy Conservation in collaboration with EESL, New Delhi, has launched the UJALA Scheme in the State of Meghalaya, whereby, LED bulbs of 9 watt will be sold at Rs. 70 each with 3 years warranty and LED tube lights of 20 watt will be sold at Rs. 230 each with 2 to 5 years warranty in all the outlets setup by EESL across Meghalaya. The Inspectorate of Electricity appealed the people to avail the scheme to lower their electricity bill and make the State more energy efficient
