SHILLONG: Ri Bhoi police recently detained as many as 12 coal laden trucks after they evaded the integrated weighbridge at Byrnihat.
Police said that on March 12, around 8.30 am, several coal laden trucks sped away evading the weighbridge at Byrnihat. Following this, police chased and detained 12 trucks (AS-01CC-5485, AS-01AC-1149, ML-05J-1764, AS-01DD-4885, AS-01DC-0086, AS-01BC-8551, AS-01DC-7785, AS-01BC-9192, AS-01AC-9620, NL-08A-3381), AS-01DD-4950 and AS-01Y-5157), one of which capsized while it was being brought to Byrnihat outpost.
