GH ANM workers serve 15-day deadline for payment of pending dues

TURA: ANM workers from Hills came together in a rally at Chandmary playground in Tura on Friday to protest the concerned department’s failure to pay four months’ pending salary to their counterparts in North Garo Hills. During the rally the department was given a 15-day deadline to clear the pending dues failing which the workers would go on a strike in all five districts of Garo Hills. Following the meeting, the workers also took out a protest march from the venue to the deputy commissioner’s office.
