Shradh of ex-NEFA officer held

Shillong: Shradh of Debendra Nath Das, a retired NEFA civil service Officer who served during the crucial Chinese aggression and War of Liberation of Bangladesh was held on Tuesday with many bereaved family, friends and admirers taking part.
Gunjan, a book of his poems was released on the occasion. Among others, former Speaker, Charles Pyngrup attended the shradh. Das had breathed his last on March 11, at the age of 88. He is survived by his five children.
