CJ calls for speedy delivery of justice

SHILLONG: The High Court of Meghalaya on Thursday celebrated its 4th Establishment Day with a function held on the Court premises. The function was attended by Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Chief Justice of the High Court, in the presence of Justice S.R Sen and Justice Ved Prakash Vaish, the registrar general of the High Court, secretary of the High Court of Meghalaya Bar Association, the East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner and others.
The Chief Justice lauded members of the High Court and the Judiciary for their commitment and dedication and sought their co-operation to ensure expeditious delivery of justice.
He expressed optimism that separation of the Judiciary and the Executive in all districts of the State would be realised in the near future.
Justice Maheshwari also appealed to the judicial fraternity to ensure that the State Judiciary becomes a role model for the entire country.
