10-year-old hit by vehicle
On March 23, 10-year-old girl, Lasiewdor Lyngdoh sustained injuries after she was hit by a moving vehicle while crossing the road at Umran Diary under Umsning Block in Ri Bhoi District. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Bhoirymbong helped in shifting her to Umsning CHC.
Sumo-truck collision
On March 23.,a Tura bound TATA Sumo (ML08B – 3427) from Guwahati was involved in a collision with a TATA DI pick-up truck (ML09-5590) at Wakso under Resubelpara Block in North Garo Hills District. A driver and two occupants of the TATA Sumo sustained injuries during the collision.The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Rari helped in shifting the driver, Rupon Koch (28years/male) and the two occupants, Demen Koch (25years/male) and James Sangma (50years/male) to Rari PHC.
Several injured
On March 22, a motorist, Sigrak Ch. Marak (25years/male) sustained injuries when his motorbike was involved in a collision with another motorbike. Sigrak Ch. Marak was travelling towards Dadenggre when the collision took place at Ajigre under Dadenggre Block in West Garo Hills District.The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Dadenggre helped in shifting the injured motorist, Sigrak Ch. Marak to Dadenggre CHC.
On March 22, a motorist heading towards Umden fell off from his motorbike and sustained injuries when it collided with an ambulance from behind at Kharpati under Umling Block in Ri Bhoi District. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Nongpoh helped in shifting the injured motorist, Albert Syiem (34years/male) to Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
On March 22, a Maruti local taxi heading towards Bhoirymbong overturned on a turning near the Bhoirymbong junction on the Shillong by-pass road under Umsning Block in Ri Bhoi District. A passenger, Aibor Lamare (36years/male) travelling on the local taxi sustained injuries and has been shifted to Bhoirymbong CHC and then to Shillong Civil Hospital by the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Bhoirymbong.
On March 24 around 1.30 pm, one truck (AS-01-DD-7751) was dashed by another truck (number not known) at Mawryngkneng (EKH) in which the handyman of the truck Shri Nurul Hoque (26 yrs) sustained injuries and was admitted at CH Shillong.
