Rice under NFSA, non-NFSA, TPDS sugar released

Shillong: The office of the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), East Khasi Hills District, has informed that rice under NFSA for priority households and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) has been released and will be distributed through respective fair price shops for March.
The quota for urban and rural poor under AAY is 35kg/card at Rs3/kg and under PHH is 5kg/head at Rs 3/kg. All fair price shop dealers of the district have been requested to lift the allotted quota of rice immediately and start distribution.
They are also directed to display the list of AAY beneficiaries at their shops.
Also, rice under non-NFSA has also been released and will be distributed through respective fair price shops for March. The quota for urban and rural beneficiaries is 8kg 700 gm/card per month at Rs 11.70 to Rs 12/kg. As in case of NFSA foodgrain, all fair price shop dealers have been directed to display the list of non-NFSA beneficiaries at their shops.
The DC office also informed that the ISS Grade Sugar 30 under TPDS for August 2016 has been released and will be distributed through respective fair price shops as per scale of 3kg/card at Rs.30/kg.
Beneficiaries have been asked to bring to the notice of the DC in case there is non-supply, overcharging or inferior quality of rice.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills, Tura, informed that AAY, PHH rice for the month of March 2017 and sugar for the month of September 2016 has been released for all the NFSA beneficiaries under Tura urban and Rural based Fair Price Shop Dealers.
