DIPR clarifies on LDA named in RTI findings

SHILLONG: The Directorate of Information and Public Relations has clarified that it does not employ any lower division assistant by the name of Danny Olson Syiem.
Michael Pakyntein, a former supporter of UDP MLA Paul Lyngdoh had accused that findings of an RTI filed with Shillong Municipal Board revealed that materials worth Rs 74 lakh were purchased from one Syiem’s Enterprise owned by Danny Olson Syiem under the Special Urban Works Programme (SUWP).
According to Pakyntein, the owner of Syiem’s Enterprise, Syiem, was an LDA in the Directorate of Information and Public Relations.
