Imposter robs woman
SHILLONG: Florina D Shira lodged a complaint that on March 19, she received a phone call from unknown persons claiming to be an SBI official informing that her ATM has been blocked and she needs to provide her ATM details for updating. She complied with the request and on updating her account Rs 49989 was found debited on March 19.
Attempt to rape
SHILLONG: A woman lodged a complaint that on March 31 around 1 pm, Kyrmen Marboh entered her house, outraged her modesty and attempted to sexually assault her.
2 injured in mishap
SHILLONG: A motorist along with a pillion rider sustained injuries when the motorbike was involved in a collision with an auto rickshaw at 15th Mile under Umling Block in Ri Bhoi District. The motorbike was heading towards Shillong from Guwahati when the collision happened at 1:55 pm on April 2. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Byrnihat helped in shifting Thapan Bordoloi (40) and Kitar Dorbori (30) to PHC.
