City traffic cops receive certificate of appreciation

SHILLONG: Smart Charitable Trust recognised the hard work put in by Shillong Traffic Police and awarded two Traffic Police with the Best Shillong Traffic Policemen award for the year 2016-2017.
Women Police Head Constable Sabitri Rabha of Laitumkhrah Traffic Branch and Head Constable Chandradhar Basumatry of Madanrting Traffic Branch were given Certificate of Appreciation and a Momento to each.
The trust were initiated and conceptualised by Prashan Naik, Retd. IAS Additional Chief Secretary and other dignitaries.
The aim of Smart Charitable Trust is to award common people who have contributed to the well being of society.
Present in the award ceremony were trust members, Davis N R. Marak, IPS. Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Vivek Syiem, MPS Superintendent of Police (City), N K. Syiem, MPS Superintendent (Traffic) and Sacheng R Marak, MPS Additional Superintendent (Traffic) and other officers.
The award has encouraged the Police Personnel of Shillong Traffic Police to put in more effort.
