City woman to receive NE Woman Entrepreneur award

SHILLONG: City based Janessaline Mary Pyngrope, representing Daniel Syiem’s Ethnic Fashion House is one among the recipients of  “Vasundhara – NE Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” (2014-15).

The sponsor of Vasundhara, Northeastern Council (NEC) informed that secretary Ram Muivah will inaugurate the event on April 8 in Guwahati.

This year, Nagaland has been selected as the focus state of the event.

The “Vasundhara – NE Woman Entrepreneur of the Year” (2014-15) award which is held annually confers eight states awards to eight nominated women entrepreneurs from each state of North East based on their singular business achievements and the brightest among them is chosen for the coveted regional award which carries a cash award of Rs 25,000 along with a trophy, an Eri shawl and a plaque.

The other state awardees are Radha Devi Gurung (Sikkim), Taba Yall Nabam (Arunachal Pradesh),  Kevisedenuo Margaret Zinyu (Nagaland), Keisham Babita Devi (Manipur),  Zoramchhani Ralte (Mizoram), Sumitra Debbarma (Tripura) and Najitara Bori, Assam.
