Hawkers complain against eviction

SHILLONG: Some hawkers have filed an FIR against a group of vendors from Laitumkhrah market led by the Rangbah Shnong of the area for evicting them from Laitumkhrah main road.

Luckystone Khongsti, Michelda Sohtun, Ristalin Nongbri and Teibha Mawthoh, all hawkers, jointly lodged a complaint that on April 5 evening, a mob consisting of vendors from Laitumkhrah Bazar led by the Rangbah Shnong of Laitumkhrah evicted the complainants, intimidated and threatened them.
