\SHILLONG: The World Health Day was observed in NEIGRIHMS on the theme ‘Depression: Let’s Talk’ on Friday.
Keeping in line with this year’s theme, the Department of Psychiatry and the Department of Community Medicine conducted a role play for the general public in the OPD area. The role play was conducted to highlight the major symptoms of depression, its causes and where to seek for help.
The play was performed by MSW students from Don Bosco University, Assam and Loyola University, followed by a key note address on Depression.
During the play, pamphlets were distributed to people to raise awareness on Depression. Posters on depression were also displayed in the OPD for increasing knowledge of the general public.
