17-yr-old missing
A 17-year-old girl from Madanrting, has gone missing since April 7. It is suspected that Shikhar of Law-U-Sib, had abducted her with the help of his friends identified as, Debashish, Piklu and Bathan, and taken her to Kamargram, Karimganj in Assam.

Body found at Lawsohtun
On April 8 at around 8.30 pm, one unidentified male body (40/45) was found lying in a jungle at Lawsohtun.

Fire incident
On April 7 at around 10 pm, a fire broke out in an under construction house belonging to Tngenlang Nongrum in a disputed plot of land called ‘Nongrim Pale’ under Umroi Ri Bhoi.

Mother stabbed by son
A woman identified as Imonmi Tang lodged a complaint that on April 6 at around 8 am, one Pyrkhat Suchiang of Mowtyrshiah village stabbed her mother Nilinti Tang causing grievous injuries to her. Police arrested the accused.

Bangladeshi handed over
Ranjing D Shira of An’chenggre village, Purakhasia under Dalu PS (WGH) lodged a complaint that on April 4 at around 3.30 pm, while he was on his way to his residence, he found one Sohail Mia (25) resident of Komila, under Bancherampur polcie station, in Komila district , Bangladesh suspiciously moving in the area and reportedly entered India without any valid documents. He was handed over to Purakhasia police outpost.

Two injured in accident
On April 9 at around 7.30 pm, one scooty (ML-05P-4997) ridden by Slemingstar Kharsyntiew (22) dashed against a wall at Mawlai Mawroh. As a result, the rider and one lady pillion rider sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.

Mobile phone stolen
Wanrishisha Syiem lodged a complaint that on April 7 at around 3.30 pm, miscreants stole her cell phone which she had given to her sister for taking photograph in a school function at Eden Bless School in Nongmynsong.
