Actor-comedian Vir Das has returned to India from the first leg of his world tour which saw him perform in eight cities across the US. It was an experience “like no other”, he said.The world tour, which will be spread throughout this year, will have Vir visit over 21 countries. Vir did 46 shows in eight US cities like Chicago and Los Angeles in February and March. The show in all sold over 20,000 tickets in its first leg and will soon begin its European leg in June. Vir said in a statement: “It was an experience like no other. I have toured the US earlier, but this time it was even better as it was the first destination of my world tour.””The response was something I hadn’t expected and thus, it was even more satisfying. Now looking forward to the Europe leg of the tour in June.” (IANS)
Katy Perry apologises to Ryan Phillippe over dating rumours
After actor Ryan Phillippe put rumours of dating Katy Perry to rest, the pop diva has apologised to him for the embarrassing situation. The 32-year-old songstress took to Twitter to rubbish the claims and said it was nice to meet the actor at Elton John’s birthday party last month. “Hi, nice to meet you, sorry about that @RyanPhillippe carry on, lol,” tweeted Perry. Phillippe had refuted reports which claimed that he and the “Roar” singer were in a relationship, by tweeting in all caps, “I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE.” (PTI)
Harry Styles did not play his single for 1D members
Harry Styles has admitted that he did not play his recently released single Sign of the times for his former One Direction bandmates before it came out. Apparently, no one in the band had actually heard the single by the 23-year-old singer till the day of its release (April 7), reported Billboard. “I haven’t played it for many people, I’ve kept it very close to my chest. It’s amazing to watch your friends put music out in the world and everyone so far has done amazing,” Styles said in a radio interview with SiriusXM. The singer also talked about being in touch with other bandmates, including Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne after they embraced fatherhood. (PTI)
