CM drawing communal lines: BJYM

SHILLONG: The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) has accused Chief Minister Mukul Sangma of trying to divide the society by taking on religious lines.
BJYM president E. Kurkalang has termed Sangma’s comments on the observation of Digital India Day on ‘Good Friday’ as mere political talks. He also questioned the chief minister’s lack of respect for B.R. Ambedkar, the father of the India Constitution, who had paved the way for secularism in India.
Kurkalang maintained that April 14 is observed all over India as the birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar and the central government has marked this day to pay tribute to him.
