East Khasi Hills inter-school athletic meet concludes

SHILLONG: St Mary’s Higher Secondary School emerged as the best team in the Above-16 girls’ team category in the East Khasi Hills District Level Inter School Athletic Meet held at the JN Stadium, Polo. St Anthony’s Higher Secondary School bagged the honours in the boys’ category. Loreto Convent bagged top-spot in the U-16 girls’ team event while St Mary’s girls emerged winners in the U-14 girls’ team category. St Anthony’s boys topped the table in both U-16 and U-14 categories. Meanwhile, Iba Kurbah of Stephan Memorial School was adjudged the best athlete in the U-14 girls’ category. In the boys’ event, Eishuh V Pdein of St Anthony’s bagged the honours. Migma Lyngdoh of St Mary’s was the best athlete in the U-16 girls’ category while Nelson Nigel Laloo of St Anthony’s topped the athletes’ chart in the U-16 boys category. Eliana Lamare of St Mary’s and Emphius Nongrum of Christian Academy were named best athletes in the U-16 girls’ and boys’ categories respectively.
