Livelihood programme launched

NONGSTOIN: The Livelihood & Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP) was officially launched at Riangdo Dorbar Hall on Wednesday.
The programme is sponsored by National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) and is being implemented by Nongstoin Social Service Society. It aims at providing intensive training for 150 self help group members on poultry farming, facilitate linkages with banks and creating sustainable livelihood amongst the SHG members. Starting of poultry units on a commercial scale is another focus of the programme.
