SHILLONG: UDP member and former FKJGP leader Joe Marwein has slammed the BJP for threatening to file an FIR against anybody tarnishing the image of the party on social media.
He added that India is a free country with freedom of expression, and the statement of the BJP is immature and implies its intolerance towards those who criticise the party.
Earlier, the vice president of State BJP and former Minister J A Lyngdoh had said that the party would prefer to file FIR against those who try to tarnish its image.
