MAWKYRWAT: Two footballers died on the spot while another two were injured in a lightning strike while they were playing football at Umsur playground under Ranikor police station in South West Khasi Hills district.
Official sources informed that the incident took place at around 3 pm on Friday.
Goldmaster Nongtnger (15) of Umsur village and Fastingdar Nongbri (30) of Nongjri village died on the spot while two others sustained minor injuries.
