Theft
On April 20 around 2.15 pm, one Ajay Singh alias Kalu was caught stealing Rs. 19,150 from the cash counter of Bata Shoe Centre, GS Road, Shillong.
On April 7, Md. Rekib Ahmed lodge a complaint that he found unknown miscreants stealing BSNL Feeder Cable materials from Banashri-II site near NEC Office, Nongrim Hills,Shillong.

Rape attempt
On April 20, a woman (19) lodged a complaint that around 8 pm, one Blanten Mawlong forcibly entered her house and attempted to rape her.

Fire breaks out, no casualty
On April 21 around 11.40 pm, a fire broke out in the premises of Smt. Sweety Doly Sayun near IIM Shillong at Nongthymmai Lumbasuk, Shillong in which three Assam Type rooms were gutted. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and extinguished the fire. No casualty was reported.

NGT violation
On April 19, police detected one coal laden truck (ML-10-2358) driven by Marjan Khlem (33 yrs) while transporting coal without challan in violation of NGT order at Umiam (Ri Bhoi).
On April 12, Agnes Kharshiing lodged a complaint that she witnessed many coal trucks plying through West Jaintia Hills en route to Mawryngkneng, carrying coal exceeding the specified limit laid down by NGT. Further, the trucks are not using the stickers as per NGT order and transporting coal without challans. The complainant noticed that certain trucks were selling coal at Mookyndur (WJH) thereby polluting the water downstream in Sung Valley.

Assault
On April 17, two masked miscreants assaulted Tuntun Seal (35) while he was on his way to Mynkre market (East Jaintia Hills). Victim sustained grievous injuries and was shifted to CHC Khliehriat from where he was referred to NEIGRIHMS.

Illegal firearms recovered
On April 19, VDP members of Seinduli village (West Khasi Hills), apprehended Debuster Hoojon (25) from the village and recovered one illegal firearm and one motorcycle (ML-05M-8912) from his possession.

Duped
On April 17, Moween Uddeen Ahmed lodged a complaint that he received phone calls from two persons namely, (1) Nikhil Das and (2) Rakesh Verma who claimed to be from Home Shop-18 and duped him of Rs. 49,000.
