Actress Shraddha Kapoor, who plays Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker in Apoorva Lakhia’s film, has undegone a drastic transformation to look the part. The 30-year-old actress will be playing Haseena from the age of 17 till her late 40s in Haseena: The Queen of Mumbai.
Shraddha took to Twitter to reveal her younger and older looks from the movie and thanked Apoorva for trusting her with the role. “Younger and older. Thank you @ApoorvaLakhia for giving me the opportunity to play this character & for holding my hand through out. #HASEENA,” wrote the actress.
Shraddha will play the character right from Haseena’s teenage years to a married young mother to a woman in her 40s. To get the physical appearance of her character’s age from the ages 35-45, bodysuits and prosthetics were used. Shraddha started costume and make-up trials almost two months before the shoot. It took them one month and 12 trials to get the perfect look.
Director Apoorva regularly discussed the actress’ look with makeup artist Subhash Shinde, hairstylist Simran Devi, stylist Eka Lakhani and costume designers Harpreet and Ajay for almost a year to get it right. The film, which also stars Shraddha’s brother Siddhanth, is slated to release on July 14. (PTI)
